"Don't let go of the mockingbird"

Inspired from the classic To kill the mockingbird by Harper Lee, in which this lovely songbird symbolizes virtue and innocence. Since I was a child, Atticus's warning “it's a sin to kill a mockingbird” has been cherished in my heart. This piece is created as an alert for adolescent girls who have been forcing themselves to be adults in inconsiderable ways (like wearing too much make up, revealing clothes or proving to be adult-like by turning themselves into cheap items).

Have a week full of laughters and inspirations, everyone
And for the record, I used to be one of those girls as well during puberty, until I realized being an adult is not about showing off your skin or being the center of attraction, but rather knowing how much I still have got to learn. Once we realize we are just small fish in the big sea, we have finally reach the adulthood where knowledge would be swallowed without feeling ashamed and simple outfit would be worn with grace and dignity.

PS. Half-term week! I am off to Manchester for a few days before getting back to my studio. Meanwhile, I have got some lovely pieces of music to recommend:

Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake, giving me goosebumps and obviously, a stunning visual inspiration

Velvet Underground's Femme fatale, a classic rock and simply haunting
